Currently  there are over 50 million blogs and this number is rising. The distribution of this data is causing the Internet overwhelming problems. The following recommendation is all about a new and efficient way to keep up with all the cool stuff that is happening on the web.

The New Fast Way
Instead of sitting at the computer wasting your valuable time looking for new articles only to find that they are not there, have them delivered straight to you instead, using a single website that becomes your home for all the new stuff from your favourite sites.

Getting Started
First step: You need a home for receiving new posts. This is a website called a reader. They are free and all you need to do is set up an account. The following offer a good place to start.

www.google.com/reader
www.bloglines.com
www.newsgator.com
My Yahoo

Second step: You have to set up a connection between your reader and your favourite sites. Setting up these connections is called subscribing and is really important. Nearly every blog site and news site offers you the ability to subscribe so that updates from their sites show up on your reader.

To set up these subscriptions you need to look for the funny little icon (usually orange). Click on the icon and the page it opens up gives you everything you need for subscribing.

After you click the button, one of two types of pages are likely to appear. One may offer one click access to subscribing, great. The other page you are likely to see has a ream of code on it. If you see this page copy the url, go to your reader and look for the link that says add subscription or add feed. Click on that and paste the link into your reader so once you've added the subscriptions and the connection is there new posts will start arriving in your reader.

You will then see why this is the faster thus better way to read the web. It's addictive, so be careful!
